Soprema-Flag has over 45 years experience of flat-roof waterproofing, the Soprema Group having been founded in 1908. The company now markets one of the most comprehensive ranges of green roof and single-ply PVC / TPO synthetic liner systems in addition to their world class Sopralene bitumenous S.B.S. range. In addition to roof waterproofing, products are manufactured for complex hydraulic and underground applications and swimming pools. The recent addition of Soprema's products has extended the product offering to include elastomeric membranes for building envelope and civil engineering use, polyurethane and acrylic coatings, polymer modified SBS compounds and a wide range of accessories including flashing, walkway membranes, vapour barriers, vents, timber decking and rooflights. Systems are supported by insurance backed warranties of either 10 or 15 years, and the company has established a Partner Training Academy to focus on the training needs of designers and contractors. The company is an active memebr of the Single Ply Roofing Association (SPRA), has products with BBA certification and , in its TPO liner, the only product of its type to have a BRE Green Guide A + rating.
Natural environment roof systems
The comprehensive range of Optigreen extensive and intensive roof systems enables specifiers to create a wide variety of environments while meeting tightly defined performance criteria. Nine systems cover the most important types of installation, including lightweight, pitched, nature, water retention, garden, landscape, public, termal and economy roof solutions. Where required, indigenous species can be incorporated into the planting specification to achieve optimum bio-diversity. Optigreen systems can be used to enhance the standard of thermal insulation and a building's overall sustainability and can be linked, for example, to rainwater retention or SUDS systems. Standard plant lists included low growing grasses, herbs and sedums, as well as traditional deciduous and evergreen shrubs and trees.
